The event is designed for beginners through  competitive athletes.  It is also a great family or team event! The event is an adventure that consists of navigating the Buffalo River via your personal preference of paddle-powered watercraft such as: whitewater kayak, recreational kayak, touring kayak, racing kayak, sit on top kayak, ocean kayak, canoe, tandem kayak (team only),  stand up paddle board.  Crew, sculling, row and any other watercraft in which one person has more than one oar to propel their boat is not allowed.  The water route consists of paddling along the industrial section of the Buffalo River highlighting Buffalo's scenic river and indelible history.  You then transition to your bike (any road worthy bicycle is allowed and helmets are required) where you will enjoy a ride along Buffalo's newly renovated outer harbor bike path from the Coast Guard to the old Bethlehem Steel site continuing on to the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens before returning to Silo City.  The final leg is an adventurous run through one hundred year old grain silos ending at a celebration hosted by Silo City.
